Managing Time Using Math

When a person has a full day ahead, they will have to learn how to manage their time. Meetings, lunches, projects that are due, and spending time with the family at the end of they day can be very stressful. Most people rely on a calendar, watch, or other device that will keep track of their time. Simple math skills are needed to read a clock or a calendar. Adding up minutes between meetings, leaving enough time to get to meetings all require math skills. Time management is even more important these days because of the many ways that people can get in contact with others. Meetings can be held in person, on the phone, over the Internet, and even through video conferences. This means that more meetings can be scheduled during the day.

Managing one’s time is a very valuable skill to have. Many people learn this skill in college when trying to study, have a little fun, and work. People do not have as much free time as they used to. These days there is much competition for jobs and careers. People need to stay focused on their work in order to keep their job. Time management can help keep a person sane and on top of their game. By using math each day, a person can gauge how much time they will have to spend on certain projects and how much time they will have to spend going to meetings, traveling, and other issues that may come up.
